Code Pink: Knitters say "no" to war

Lion Brand Vanna's Choice Baby Yarn in Berrylicious

Had the very real pleasure last week of visiting the new Lion Brand Yarn Studio near New York's Union Square. It's so effectively merchandised--walls of eye-popping color, people--that I was compelled to buy a ball of 100% acrylic. Mostly just because. But also to facilitate production of quilt squares for Codepink's White House fence cozy scheduled for deployment on Mother's Day. The quilt is part of a 24-hour vigil for women who live in war zones. It will say, "We will not raise our children to kill another mother’s child."

I think it's OK to hold Mr. Obama's feet to the fiber, don't you?

Bless your heart! Bless your commitment to peace. Yes its perfectly fabulous to keep Mr. Obama's feet to the fiber.  My Mom, who passed away last week after a fight with cancer, would have loved your quilt and your commitment to peace.  Keep up the important work. Smile
