Free Pattern Wednesday: Muskrat Love Stole

When the going gets tough, the tough wear faux.

'There's nothing like a good old-fashioned stock market crash to make a girl yearn for a little glamour. Fur was all over the fall runways, inexplicably, unless Seventh Avenue plans to eat the fur bearers as well as wear them.

We're more soft-hearted here at Nake-id Knits; we like our fur on the hoof. So we've stitched up a quick fake. Wear it around your shoulders to chase the chill or drape it around your neck for a splash of drama. With Herrschners discounting the yarn currently, you can have a bit of flash for less than the price of lunch.

Yarn: SRK Collection Baby Monkey, Black; 2 skeins

Needles: 11 US/8 mm

Notions: 2 yds 2-inch wide black satin ribbon 

Directions: 

1. CO 24 stitches.

2. Work in stockinette stitch until scarf measures 42 inches or desired length.

3. BO.

Finishing:

Weave in ends. Thread ribbon through each end and tie in pretty bow.

Wear with rhinestones.
