Give that man a kippah

The other night we went to Shabbat services and I noticed that Mitch was wearing a summer-weight yarmulke. I was aghast.

I did some googling and found this pattern by Joanne Seiff. You may remember it from the Summer ‘02 Knits? I did a bit of stash diving to unearth a skein of Koigu and voila, we’re well on our way to a nice, warm merino kippah—with just the right amount of ‘tude.

Beautiful.  Your post made me think of that old line from Fiddler on the Roof -- "Rabbi, is there a blessing for the Czar?"  "Of course.  May God bless and keep the Czar -- far away from us!"  May many blessings come down from above on both of you.

Is that the Shabbat equivalent of wearing white shoes after Labor Day?
