Handknit Baby Kimono

Heartbreakingly Cute Baby Kimono from Mason-Dixon Knitting: The Curious Knitters' Guide in Blue Sky Alpaca Organic Cotton.

Package wrapped with Kertzer Super 10 Cotton.

It's the last day of summer and the arching September sun has left us with a grey felt sky--and unduly affectionate cats. Opportunistic heat-seeking missiles that they are. I'm achy and snozzling from a cold, all of which somehow seems just right on a day like this. Soup for dinner, I think.

The above went to Levi and Sheindy's new daughter, Rivkah, named for her great grandmother. She's already a beauty, bringing her family much joy, and confusing her brothers. Is it dreadfully sexist to think that it's more fun knitting for the baby girls than for the boys?

It is heartbreakingly cute, isn't it....and more luxurious in organic cotton  than dish cotton. I am assuming it was received with the appropriate oohs and ahhs. I think it is adorable with the dotted ribbon.
