Leaf and yarn peeping

For those of you familiar with the San Isabel National Forest, yesterday we hiked the Venable Lakes Trail to just above the falls where the path opens onto this vista:

Of course words and photos pale compared to the retina-shattering color of sun-drenched aspens in their fall glory. Allow me to bore you with more amateur photography.
