Denver was a city of extremes this weekend with Saturday's 74-degree temps braising pale, sun-starved limbs then several inches of snow yesterday. March is such a tease.

But the wet early spring weather makes for cozy afternoons of reading and knitting. (Garden, what's a garden?)

Been totally absorbed by Michael Pollan's The Omnivore's Dilemma. Makes you want to throw yourself on an ice flow and feed yourself to the polar bears. Come to think of it, that wouldn't be good for the bears. Like an old downer cow, I'm full of hormones and antibiotics.

What have we done to our world?
