Wednesday Miscellany: Sweater and indie spotting

There is something to mid-week blog fatigue, isn’t there? Happily, one can always cobble together a list. So without further nattering:

1. Spring Fling—A vintagey, crafty, arty, knitterly show with free admission. At the Denver Turnverein, March 8, noon-6 and March 9, 11–4.

2. Another local designer, brought to our attention by the blogless Garlic Queen—Carol Mier—wonderful to see more indie fashion activity in the Mile High City.

3. More great sweaters from Peruvian Connection (darn ‘em all, anyway)—It laces up the back! Could you just die?

4. Kudos to Mona Lucero! Just over five years ago, Mona established a one-of-a-kind fashion bulwark in Denver’s lower Highlands so she could design clothes her way. Our local alternative newspaper, Westword¬†just awarded Mona one of its Master Mind awards for her influence on the Denver scene. (Scroll down until you get the goods on Mona.) We love her not only because she’s uber cool, but also because she manufactures locally and is incredibly supportive of other designers.l
