Yarn from Down Under

Antipodal yarn, people. Handspun, natural-colored yarn straight from the sheep of New Zealand.

Friend Caitlin, who just returned from two glorious weeks visiting her sister's family in this planet-friendly, animal-aware paradise, was kind enough to think of me at the Cheviot market, where she not only procured this yarn but two scrumptuous handknit sweaters for her sister and boyfriend. I met the guy sweater in person--a handsome hand-knit, hand-spun raglan, soft and light as a duvet in a tawny brown.

Merci beaucoups, Caitlin, for this treasure from Middle Earth. I'm thinking these skeins will become soft, cushy house socks. Stanley, it appears, has other thoughts.
